Each year, substance abuse affects millions of Americans, tearing familiies apart and taking away bright futures. What if there was a way to help make a change that gave people a community to help them stay sober and rise from the ashes? That opportunity is Phoenix Multisport.
Phoenix Multisport is a 501(c)3 nonprofit born in Boulder with the mission of creating sustainable active, sober communities for people in recovery from substance abuse and those choosing to live a sober life. Started in 2007 by 7-time Ironman, accomplished mountaineer, recovering addict and top 10 CNN Hero Scott Strode, Phoenix has served over 7,000 individuals since 2007 in Colorado. All programs are free to anyone in recovery with at least 48 hours of sobriety and a committment to our code of conduct. This event will be an amazing synthesis of inspiration, art, local philanthropy and energy towards a common goal of supporting those in recovery.
On April 12th, you'll be greeted with a snazzy swag bag full of goodies from local sponsors, then tour the silent auction of art pieces rebuilt from otherwise thrown away bike parts made into beautiful art pieces by some of Colorado's most talented artists. Then check out the live bike frame painting being done during the event. Watch blank frames be transformed into one of a kind art pieces available for live auction at 9pm that evening! Jam to live music, get your photo snapped in our photo booth and sip mock-tails made from some of Boulder's finest non-alcoholic drink makers (alcohol will not be served at the event).
